The Flood of '11

I came home from work on Wednesday to a waterfall and river in our family room...apparently a pipe and connector became separated and instead of a little spray of water from a busted pipe, it was like a running faucet on full blast...the picture with the little wooded door is where the water was coming out of hence the term waterfall...I tried to close the door to keep the water from spilling out til I could get the main water shut off, but instead of closing it shot open and a big gush of freezing cold water came down on top of me...Some things did get ruined that were in the closet like the tv and such, but we have good flood insurance, so now we are just waiting on all the repairs...Jared was in Oklahoma while all of this was going on...SO NOT FUN!!!

Rhett's 1st Birthday...

Yes, I am a little late posting this, but if you know me you're not surprised...Rhett turned one on January 18...His little "girlfriend" Grace came to celebrate and his grandpa and grandma from Colorado...He didn't attack the little cake like we were hoping, but it was lots of fun...We love our little Rhett...

What a Prune!!

The other night Jared bought some gerber foods for Rhett and then wanted a turn feeding him...Here is little Rhett enjoying prunes...What a mess, but so cute:)

My Little Helpers

We went to my sisters house in Idaho Falls for Thanksgiving...and for our contribution, I was in charge of the pies and rolls...So after two days of making four pies and four dozen rolls, this was the boys helping me...We had lots of food, fun, and made it home after driving all the way in a blowing blizzard...

Wendover Fun

Call us old fashioned, but last weekend Jared and I went to Wendover for the night...We went to a concert at the Peppermill Concert Hall and saw The Bellamy Brothers...Other than the happy drunks making big fools of themselves it was an awesome concert...Some people probably are like, "who are The Bellamy Brothers?"...If you listen to classic country like Jared and I, I'm sure you would recognize some of their songs...After the concert we went to the steakhouse in our hotel and had some very yummy food...Our hotel room had a huge jacuzzi tub right there in the room next to the bed...Jared and I have been contemplating putting in a new shower in our bathroom, but after soaking in that jacuzzi I told him forget the shower, we are getting a jacuzzi tub!! It was nice to get away for the night with no kids and relax...:)

Camping at Bear Lake

July 24th weekend we went to Bear Lake with my Dad and sisters (with all their families)... It was lots of fun camping and riding the jet skis on bear lake...I face planted it on the beach trying to chase my nephew, what a klutz...and got sunburnt, but oh well...lots of fun...Can't wait til next year:).

Rhett

Always a happy little guy:)

Four Wheelin'

In Loving Memory of Grandpa...

Frank McDaniel "Mac" Crowther January 18, 1921-June 26, 2010
My grandpa was born in Provo, Utah...but was raised in a little town called Richfield in Idaho...He loved to play jokes on people...You never heard him cuss...His favorite thing in the world was fishing...He could tell you a fish story like no other...He lived a Christ-like life...He shares a birthday with my son Rhett...He will always have a special place in my heart...He left a great legacy and will be missed terribly...We love you Grandpa.
