Happy Birthday to Me

Yesterday I turned the triple digits 33!! It was a good day...Jared is still on the road, but said we would celebrate when he gets home...My mom said we make her feel old cause she has children in their 30's:)...Thank you to all who sent birthday wishes...

What a Bummer!

Jared wanted to be home this weekend to celebrate Father's Day and my birthday on Monday, but he has to work a few more days...I did give him his Father's Day gift early though...He's been wanting a dvd player for the semi truck to entertain himself when he has to sit for hours and hours waiting to get loaded/unloaded...and I got him the Paul Blart movie he likes and Rady got him some new socks...And on another note, I went to the doctor on Friday for the baby and the doctor said everything looked good and I am due January 22nd...I go in for my sonogram on the 20th of July...I am a little anxious to find out if its a boy or girl, but I'll keep ya posted (I know Jared's hoping for a little Christopher:)...

A Weekend of Fun

My sister Tara, her husband Andy, and little Chandler came to stay with us for the weekend...We always have lots of fun with them, and my other sister Tiffany and Spencer...This weekend was Tara's birthday and I bought her the bocce ball game...Here we are playing it at the park...It was boys against girls...The boys won by 1/2 an inch, but I think they cheated:) Love you guys!!

Something I have never seen before:)

In the year and a half that Jared and I have been married, I have never seen him do the dishes or make a bed, etc...Here he is doing the dishes on Mother's Day...I was giving him crap about it and took the picture as proof...but really he is a big sweetheart...He takes good care of us and he made Mother's Day a great one for me...He took us to Winger's on Saturday night for dinner and to the new Matthew McConaughey movie cause he knows he's one of my favorite actors...He made me breakfast in bed Sunday morning, grilled bbq ribs on the grill, and did the dishes for me...He got me a new electric skillet and Rady got me a very nice card and a memory card for my camera...Such handsome and thoughtful boys!

She loves belly rubs, playing fetch, and devouring hotdogs...
Rady loves to take her for walks and Jared tells us all that she is his baby(I think I just got bumped to second? just kidding!)...but she is a good guard dog for us while Jared is on the road!!

Another Embarassing Moment for the Buhr's

I have no idea why or maybe someone can explain it to me...but why do boys have this fascination with peeing outside...I could understand if we were back in the day when they didn't have indoor plumbing and maybe just a chamber pot, but Rady seems to think its the norm...anyways, today my visiting teaching partner and I went and did our monthly assignment like the good little ladies that we are...and the house that we visited had boys around Rady's age playing outside...so I let him play out there while we went in the house to give the lesson...just about the time we were done, one of the boys came in and said that Rady had just peed on their driveway...and knowing Rady his pants were probably down around his ankles and giving everyone a show...Now me being the easily embarassed type said sorry and hurried us along...Please tell me I am not the only mother who goes thru these embarassing moments and will be able to laugh about it when Rady is sixteen...!!!

Nauvoo & Carthage continued

Nauvoo & Carthage Jail

Jared and I took a load to Illinois two weeks ago and were able to stop and see Carthage Jail and Nauvoo on Saturday...It was kind of a quick trip, but it was fun...We would like to go back again when we can spend a few days there...We were only there a few hours and you can't see everything in just one day.

Happy Temple Day to ME!!!

It's been a long time coming, but today I had the privilege of getting my endowments out at the Mount Timpanogos Temple...It was a whole new experience and as they say "It was awesome!"...Then we went out to lunch at the Olive Garden, YUMMY!!!Jared and I will be getting sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in a couple of months too...:)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RADY!!

This weekend was Rady's birthday...We took him and his cousin Chandler to Jumpin' Jacks to play and had his party at Chuck E Cheese...He's four years old, boy does time fly by fast:)

Gotta Love It When Your Kid Dresses Himself

Rady loves to dress himself all the time...He doesn't like what Mom picks out...Here's his latest fashion-Superman shirt with a cape, his spongebob swimming trunks, and his cowboy boots...Boy, he's stylin' now...heehee:)

Sadly our dog Jesse is gone:(

We just got a new dog about a month ago...Rady named her Jesse from the movie Toy Story 2...Rady loved playing with the dog even though she licked him to death...He loved feeding her scooby snacks and taking her for walks...last night I went out to bring her in for the night and discovered the gate was left open and she had escaped...I called the police department to see if they had picked her up and they said a red heeler and just been hit by a car...I went down there and it turns out it was Jesse...we took her to the vet but her injures were too much and I had to tell them to put her down...its not the easiest thing in the world to look into a dogs eyes and tell her she's going to a better place...or to tell your three year old his dog isn't coming home:(
